Visibility goal
The restaurant needed a roadside sign system that would keep the Zio Johno’s name visible while creating room for changing promotions and community communication. The challenge is to provide flexibility without allowing the digital content to overpower the permanent identity.
Sign approach
A tall freestanding identity panel is paired with a full-color electronic message center. The upper portion provides consistent recognition, while the lower display can be scheduled for current offers, events, hours, or other timely information.
The vertical stack uses each component for a distinct purpose. That separation also helps operators create shorter digital messages because the display does not need to repeat the full business identity every time.
Display planning
Traffic speed, viewing angle, first clear sight line, sign height, display dimensions, character size, pixel pitch, brightness, and nearby visual competition determine how the content will perform. The most useful message is one that can be understood during the actual approach.
Structure and installation
The display, supporting pole or structure, electrical service, communication method, foundation, permitting, and installer equipment must be coordinated as a single project. Service access should be considered before the cabinet is placed in the field.
Operating the message center
Training helps the business schedule content, use consistent templates, limit message length, and avoid transitions that reduce reading time. A digital sign becomes more valuable when the team has a repeatable process for keeping it current and readable.
