Our commitment
Suntronix wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or reduced motion enabled.
Accessibility is not a box we tick once. This page describes where the site stands today and how to tell us when something does not work.
What we have done
This site was built with the following in place:
- A "skip to content" link so keyboard users can bypass the navigation.
- Visible focus outlines on every link, button, and form field, so you can always see where you are.
- Headings in a meaningful order, and landmark regions for navigation, main content, and footer.
- Text alternatives on photographs that carry meaning, and decorative images marked so screen readers skip them.
- Form fields with real labels, plus clear error and confirmation messages.
- Respect for the operating system's "reduce motion" setting — animation and parallax switch off when you have asked for less movement.
- Layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling down to 320 pixels wide, and that survive text being enlarged.
- Colour combinations chosen for contrast against the dark interface, and information never conveyed by colour alone.
Conformance status
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We consider the site partially conformant: most of the standard is met, but the site has not been through a formal third-party audit, so we do not claim full conformance.
We would rather tell you that plainly than display a badge we have not earned.
Known limitations
Some things are outside our direct control, or are still on our list:
- Embedded YouTube videos. The player is YouTube's, and its controls and captions follow YouTube's own accessibility support. Caption quality depends on the individual video.
- Older project photographs. Some descriptions are brief. We improve them as we revisit each project.
- PDF documents shared during a project may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will provide the same information in an accessible format.
